Spirit of Water Adventure (March 13, 2021 from 9-10:30am)
Fee: $10 per scout
Take a virtual dive into the world of turtles at the Maritime Aquarium. What makes a turtle a turtle, and how are they able to live on land and in the ocean? We will explore the different types of turtles we have at the aquarium and learn how sea turtles differ from those living on land. We will discuss challenges sea turtles face in the ocean (including pollution), and brainstorm ways to help sea turtles. But how did these challenges come about? We will need to get messy and wet to find out! Gather your bin of dirt, water, and your enthusiasm for experiments to discover how pollution gets into the ocean.
This program will help meet requirements 1 & 2 for the Spirit of the Water adventure.
